We created SwapMate because times can be hard, and sometimes money just doesn’t stretch as far as we’d like it to.

But we all have something valuable to offer.

Maybe it’s a skill you’ve picked up over the years, a few hours you can spare, something you’re great at making or fixing, or simply something sitting at home that you no longer need.

SwapMate is about putting those things to good use.

Instead of everything having to come with a price tag, SwapMate gives people a place to say:

“Here’s what I have. What do you have?”

Swap a homemade cake for some gardening help. Offer your skills in exchange for something you need. Give a much-loved item a new home. Or simply find a creative way to help someone while getting something useful in return.

It’s about people helping people — sharing what we have, what we know and what we can do.

Be kind. Be honest. Be respectful. 

SwapMate works best when we look out for one another. Please treat other members with kindness and respect, be honest about what you’re offering, and communicate clearly. We’re building a community based on trust — so no scams, misleading listings or taking advantage of others. Just good people, fair swaps and a little bit of kindness.
